I find rembrandt to be just right for every pastel painting. You can lay down a base coat then build it up quite well. A wide verity of colours to choose from.

Your Rembrandt soft pastels are everything I thought they would be. Great quality and wonderful shades for my pet portrait which I am currently working on. I bought them specifically to use on this particular artwork. They are soft but not too soft that they fill the tooth of the paper in the first layer, which is great as this allows me to continue on extra layers.
